The Veterans' title went once again to Mick Henderson, who returned from a lengthy injury lay-off to overcome John Sumner, playing in his first Veterans' Final .
On the League front, Northern 1sts were overwhelmed 5-0 at Cheshire Officers, though Alex Cunningham deserved a better reward for his battling performance in a close five setter. With the match score tied at 2-2 following wins by Gary Powell and Tom Stevenson, Andy Chanter claimed the team victory in a dogged five set win.
