Sport England films Northern's Role Models. (Mar.2007)

Sport England 'rolled' the cameras, and Northern provided the 'models', in a DVD showcasing Northern's all-round sporting excellence,
in all of our four sports of hockey, bowls, squash and cricket.

The filming is for a DVD for Sport England on the Community Club Development Programme,
which awarded Northern a grant of around £80k to fund the Hockey Section project of 2004,
to renovate the changing rooms and add disabled facilities.
We are featured as we carry out 'Best Practise' as a hockey club and are being used as an example to other clubs.
We are one of 24 national case studies being featured on the DVD,
which will be sent to National Governing Bodies and Sport England.
We also feature because we have had an excellent increase in participation,
especially for women and girls which is seen as a disadvantaged group.
