Goodbye to James. (Sep. 2004)
Northern said goodbye and thanks to James Marshall, with an evening out at Haskayne's first Kiwi restaurant, the Ship Inn. James has now returned home to New Zealand for their new season, but not before signing up to return to Northern in 2005.
At his send-off, James was called to account for a number of heinous crimes against his colleagues. Following ritual humiliation, at the hands of what can only be assumed to have been a kangaroo court, he responded in his own Antipodean manner with this stirring rendition of the Haka.
James recorded 1068 league runs in the season, plus 35 wickets, but also made an enormous contribution coaching at all levels of the club, and leading the highly successful Friday evening junior sessions.

An inexperienced Northern team (pictured with club coach James Marshall)
