Rules similar to under 11’s cricket:

Use a wind ball

8 a side
16 overs per side
4 overs per batting pair
6 balls per over. 2 for a wide or no ball with no extra delivery except in the last over when the ball must be bowled again.
Everyone must ball at least 1 over including the wicket keeper
No more than 2 overs per bowler
Usual pitch size for the age group (20 yards)
Batters must wear batting gloves
Each club must provide a competent umpire who can score and kwik cricket stumps

Runs scored:

Start with 200 runs

1 run for the leg side wall plus whatever you run
2 runs for the offside wall plus whatever you run
4 runs for the back wall plus whatever you run
6 runs hitting the back wall on the full and whatever you run
Overthrows will also be scored in the same way (1 on the leg side, 2 on the off side, 4 and 6 for the back wall)

Wickets:

Minus 5 for every wicket
Batters must swap ends at each dismissal
How out: bowled, caught, stumped, hit wicket, run out, caught one handed off the side walls, hit the roof and handled the ball

Result:

3pts to the winning team
1pts to the losers
in the event of a tie, the team losing fewer wickets will be the winner.
