Northern are founder members of the Liverpool Cricket Competition,
and have played cricket since 1859.
The Liverpool Cricket Comp is the major club cricket league in Merseyside
and Lancashire, and in 1998 achieved ECB Premiership status.
The 1st team currently play in the premier division
(Liverpool and District Cricket Competition, ECB Premier League),
the highest level of club cricket in the county.

The Northern club has excellent playing facilities including a total of 3 pitches and 2 pavilions,
all located on the same complex in Crosby, in the Sefton area of Merseyside.
The main pitch is also used by Lancashire for Lancs second team and schoolboy representative matches,
as a top venue for cricket in Liverpool district.

Northern holds ECB and Sport England Cricket Clubmark accreditation status.

We field a total of 6 league teams playing Liverpool Competition cricket on a Saturday, and a Sunday team playing friendly fixtures.
In addition, there are Sunday cup fixtures for the first, second and third teams, plus a strong junior cricket section,
and our ladies team.
New recruits are always welcome.
The cricket section organizes social events during the season and close-season,
and enjoys excellent bar and catering facilities.
We are well supported on match days by other club members, and are also grateful for the support of our many sponsors.
